Day 90 - Bubbles & Bluebonnets

We had a beautiful day today, so we had to go out and blow bubbles! And a nice surprise amongst the weeds in our yard... native bluebonnets! The kids were so excited. We have tons of them along the highways and in fields around our area.

Day 89 - Future chefs

A box of Easter gifts arrived today! My future chefs might be cooking Easter dessert in these adorable new aprons. Jack's also came with a kid-sized chef's hat, but he wasn't ready for that kind of commitment yet. :) There was also a red apron & mitt for Jim, and an adult version of Caroline's for me :) Love them! Thanks Mom &Dad! The other pics are just my kid's sweet faces. I got my good camera back today! (Jim was out of town with it.)

Day 88 - Sugar chick

This little chick sits inside my decorative sugar egg. It's only about 1/2 an inch tall! I just love how cute it is sitting inside there. Makes me smile every time I see it!

Day 87 - Blanket

A very sleepy girl with her favorite blanket. It was handmade by a therapist Jackson used to see, so it can never be replaced... I keep a close watch on that thing!

Day 86 - Decor for Easter

I found this pretty decoration at Hobby Lobby a month ago, and it was 50% off! I love that place. The glass vase and moss came from the Dollar Tree, and I already had the glittery egg candles (from Mom :)).

Day 85 - Cracker art

The end of C's lunch today. I wonder who was hungry before dinner? At least she's creative!

Day 84 - Jumping Bean

(disclaimer...the photos beginning today & ending 3/29 were taken with my Canon point & shoot camera. This is important to know because I dropped it into a pond in May of 2009, and it sunk several feet before being removed by my husband. It still works, amazingly, but the pics are dirty due to pond water drying on the lens.)

C got a new dress today... showing off her cheeky grin. And I found her playing daredevil later that day... bouncing and balancing...exercise ball on top of trampoline...WEEEE!!

Day 83 - Hiding

Little Miss loves to play hide & seek in the drapes.

Day 82 - Dinner faces

Caroline had a rough start to dinner, but by the end she was pretty happy!

Day 81 - Track

Today Jack had fun making tracks for his cars out of Lincoln Logs. This was the last & largest track... looks pretty proud to me!

Day 80 - Cleaning lady

Caroline is notorious for leaving large amounts of crumbs under the table. Today, I decided she was going to learn how to sweep them up. Nevermind that she is still in PJ's and looking like a ragamuffin :) I had large amounts of laundry to wash & put away!

Day 79 - Flashback 2005

Traveling home today. This picture was taken exactly 5 years ago! Sadly, we have not taken a picture on March 20th since then! Jackson was 7 months old and covered in prunes... yummy!

Day 78 - White House & family fun

We were able to get tickets for the public tour of the White House... thanks to my SIL Martta! Sadly, the only items allowed through the gates are cell phones, wallet and keys. No pics... boo. The first pic is of a section of the ceiling in the White House visitor's center. The last pic is me, Jim, my parents, and his parents on the far right. We had a wonderful week together! Thanks to Martta for taking the picture :)

Day 77 - Mt. Vernon

Well, these pics are in reverse order, but you get the idea. The Grandpa's helping Jack back to the car... ended up dragging him at one point... looks funny in pics, but I'm sure they weren't laughing! The gardens were barren due to the heavy snowfall in DC this winter, so I had to get creative. Playing with the aperture... got some moss on a stone wall at f1.4 Lastly, the 4 of us with George Washington's home in the background. Such a beautiful estate.

Day 76 - Natural History

Today we were at the Natural History Museum in DC. They have a great exhibit of "stuffed" animals. It was also St. Patrick's Day, so they kids are decked out in green. Caroline loved her green tutu from Grandma & Grandpa!

Day 75 - Washington Monument & National Zoo

Washington Monument

The family! Minus Jim, who took the pic.

Jackson, self-portrait in the car.

My family at the National Zoo.

Me, Caroline & my Mom at the National Zoo... Panda to my right, in the back.
Happy Jack with M&M's from Grandpa!

Day 74 - Capitol & Library of Congress

A pic with my parents outside the Capitol. We took a nice tour, but it was very crowded. Apparently it's the beginning of the busy season. There is a tunnel between the Capitol and the Library of Congress, so we walked over and peeked in on the beautiful building and stacks of books. Truly amazing. The kids were getting punchy, but I got this cute one!

Day 73 - DC Touring

Today we saw the Udvar-Hazy Air & Space Museum near the Dulles airport. Jack wanted to wear Jim's vest! I thought the pic of the kids dancing with the grandmas was hilarious! And my hubby posing with our monkeys!

Saturday, March 13, 2010

Day 72 - Cape

Jack found his old cape made by Gramee when he was 2. I think he really wants to be a Super Hero. Notice he's looking at The Incredibles activity book.

Friday, March 12, 2010

Day 71 - Playground

Caroline and I had a lunch date with friends at Central Market today. It's a wonderful place to have great food, and the kids can play on a huge playground!

Thursday, March 11, 2010

Day 70 - Backpack

Caroline showing off Jack's old backpack... we had to girly it up with ribbons before she would use it as a carry-on for vacation!

Wednesday, March 10, 2010

Day 69 - Eyes

First, I want to say Happy Birthday to my beautiful Mom! I love you!

Caroline and I were playing outside on a beautiful 78 degree afternoon. I took about 50+ pictures, but got this great one of her without a cheesy grin. I played in Photoshop (rare these days), and I really like how it turned out.

Tuesday, March 9, 2010

Day 68 - Silly PJ's

Silly girl trying to get her PJ shirt off... got stuck and I just cracked up! She thought it was hilarious too, and we danced around like this for about 5 minutes.

Later, she wanted to pose on the stairs, and Jim took this picture of her sweet face.

Day 67 - Pottery

Auntie Martta took the kids for an afternoon of fun last weekend. Their surprise was to paint pottery! (jealous!) She picked up the pieces after a few days, and I brought them home after her fabulous Oscar Party. These faces are just pure torture... hahaha!

Day 66 - The boys

Resting on a Sunday afternoon.

Saturday, March 6, 2010

Day 65 - 8 more!

Jack shows us 8 fingers, meaning 8 more days until we go on vacation!

Friday, March 5, 2010

Day 64 - Hiding

Little Miss decided hiding under the drapes was a fun game today! And yes, she is shirtless.

Day 62 - More Spring

Our first bloom! The crocus bulbs were tricked into sprouting early, and here is our first bloom. I hope it survives, we've had some cold nights lately!

Tuesday, March 2, 2010

Day 61 - Stretching

Jackson likes to make up his own stretches in the morning... I think it's his way of stalling when he doesn't want to get ready for school :)

Monday, March 1, 2010

Day 60 - Silly girl

Caroline making silly faces right out of the bath. Terrible lighting, but oh well!
