Day 120 - Rose redo

It was cloudy today, so the roses look a little better in the darker light.

Day 118 - Salt Rock

My husband's mother has a dear friend who came to visit Austin this past weekend. She brought us this beautiful Himalayan Salt Rock. It has a light inside and is so beautiful when lit up!

Day 117 - Raspberry cakes

I bought some fresh raspberries for this Pioneer Woman recipe... they are not for the dieting kind, but they are scrumptious!!

Day 116 - Pancakes

Jim promised Caroline pancakes Monday morning, but forgot to save some of the leftover pancakes from Sunday... whoops... so Jim & Caroline made pancakes Monday morning!

Day 115 - Wildflowers

We took a drive out to Llano, TX so we could see the large fields of wildflowers... gorgeous! Sadly, the sun was quite harsh, so it didn't lend to great pics of people.

Day 114 - Time for a New Bed!

We had thunderstorms last night so I was able to get a picture of Caroline napping without her waking up.

On occasion she still fits in the bed, but has always preferred to have her feet stick out.

Good thing Mommy is working on a new bed!

Day 113 - New clothes

Caroline got a new outfit from Target today... love that place!

Day 112 - Dinner

Tonight I made chicken fajitas for dinner... yum! Nothing like the smell of onions & peppers cooking together.

Day 111 - Lakers 1985!

I bought Jackson this Lakers shirt from Old Navy... I just could not resist. I remember watching the Lakers with my Dad during the great days of Kareem & Magic. When the Celtics were the big rival, and later the Pistons. Jackson doesn't understand the significance, but he was thrilled to have a yellow basketball shirt!

Day 110 - Bed

Sadly, we are STILL working on this toddler bed! It is so hard to paint during the week... the kids always want to help, and that just doesn't go well. I think we are about 2 coats away from being done.... or maybe 1 coat away from just having a "distressed" bed. The paint does not seem to go on very thick with the foam brush and roller we are using, so it's taking so much longer than I expected.

Day 109 - The Face

I'm sure she was mad at Jackson for touching one of her toys, but this was just too funny! This isn't even her best face, but I am so glad I captured part of it on camera!

Day 108 - Tart

I found this recipe for a savory onion tart, and Jim was kind enough to make it tonight! It was so decadent and definitely not on the cardiologist's recommended food item list. Puff pastry and caramelized onion is like heaven! Thankfully, Martta and her friend Laura were here for dinner, and we shared the calories.

Day 107 - Self portrait

After a busy morning working in the yard, we decided to relax on the couch for a little bit. Jackson decided to take a self portrait, and got Jim in the pic too :)

Day 106

Caroline & I were playing in the playroom today when I got this pic. The lighting was horrific, so I just changed it to B&W.

Day 105 - Park

Caroline and I met our friends at the park today. I forgot to bring her bow clip, so her hair was crazy!

Day 104 - Caught

Caroline is getting mighty tired of Mommy's camera always in her face. I caught her just as she was looking up from the sand box today. I love her eyes here.

Day 103 - Doggie

My sweet girl fresh from the bath in her doggie towel. These kids love all things dog.... except, the real thing... one day.

Day 102 - Mess

Apparently, the white balance was WAY off on this pic, but it tells a lovely story of childhood. The kids decided (well, probably Jack) that putting 99.9% of all the toys in Caroline's room, and a few more from the playroom, should be stuffed into her closet! Such a lovely mess to clean up... C did most f it with some directional help, and J had to clean the entire playroom... if you saw the pic I posted back in Feb of it, then you only know half of it! It is huge, and he was mighty upset.

Day 101 - Paint

Today the kids "helped" paint Caroline's soon-to-be "new" bed. It was an old toddler bed our neighbor gave us for free! Love that price. It was in good shape, but I didn't like the light maple color, so I decided it needed to be painted. Most of it is wood, but parts of it are laminate (yuck!), so we had to do lots of sanding, priming, and now painting. It's still not done, but I hope to have it ready by the time her birthday rolls around next month!

Day 100 - Bluebonnets!

I finally got out of the house and over to a small field behind our neighborhood. I'm sure people were laughing at me as they drove by on their way to the grocery store! It was bright, so the kids did not want to look at the camera, but I did my best. Played a little in Photoshop too.

Day 99 - Trying

I've been trying to get a good picture of the kids with bluebonnets, but it never quite works out. Here is today's attempt from our backyard. Maybe I can get out to the fields tomorrow!

Day 98 - Roles

Jim found the kids playing like this today.. Caroline "pretending" to be the baby, and Jack reading a story to her. I left the rail down on her crib after changing the bedding, and she used the stool to climb right in!

Day 97 - Simple

It's amazing how fun a simple paper towel roll can be!

Day 96 - Strawberry!

The kids have been asking for strawberries lately, so when they went on sale, I picked up a package. There were a few really pretty ones! Here's one taken with the light coming through the kitchen window. Not bad!

Day 95 - My girl

C and I spent some time outside today. She was mostly eating crackers and picking flowers, while I tried my hardest to capture her precious face. It was pretty windy, so it was tough!

Day 94 - Easter 2010

Our family on Easter Sunday... took at least 50 shots to get this one... success!

Day 93 - Washcloth

Trying to get her fever down, but she still wanted to try and eat... I think she stopped shortly after this bite.

Day 92 - Eggs

After a morning of more fever, too much TV, and a trip to the Ped, we decided to salvage the day with some Easter fun. Dyeing eggs and eating cookies!

Day 91 - sick baby

Caroline has had a high fever for 24 hours now. Here's how she looked most of the day. Poor baby. And this is not an April Fool's joke.
